New features and enhancements

CFM Crewing

CFM Crewing is your one-stop solution to handle all crew-related tasks centrally and in an intuitive way. From master data management of seafarers, planning the crews on board as well as their relief, the management of working and rest hours of the crew up to managing payrolls, everything can be done in one single solution.

  • Seafarer searches now recognise accented characters as their base letters, making it easier to find records regardless of spelling variations.
  • Bulk updates in Relief Planning now support End of Contract dates for sign-off assignments, allowing crew operators to update multiple seafarers in a single action.
  • The Retention Rating Report can now be exported to Microsoft Excel, including vessel ratings, historical trends and seafarer termination information for easier sharing and further analysis.
  • The Dismissed Crew Report has been renamed to Released Crew Report and now includes reason-based filtering and reporting, making it easier to analyse different types of crew departures.
  • Timeline and Rotation Planning now include a Planning Status filter, allowing users to focus on assignments in specific planning stages such as Proposed, Approved or Ready to Join.
  • The IMO Crew List export has been expanded with additional export options, allowing users to include passport and Seaman's Book attachments as well as generate lists for all personnel, crew only or non-crew only.
  • Off-contract payroll processing has been significantly streamlined. Off-contract payrolls are now managed directly within Other Payroll, appear alongside regular payrolls and are included throughout payroll views, exports and balance calculations. Users can also create off-contract payrolls directly from a seafarer's payroll record, simplifying payroll administration across different employment types.
  • Shipboard users can now add payroll remarks directly to individual seafarers, reducing the need to communicate payroll-related information separately by email.
  • A new Detailed Payments export is now available for Home Allotments and Special Allotments, allowing payroll teams to review payment breakdowns before payrolls are finalised.
  • Remark management has been improved by keeping completed remarks hidden by default while allowing them to be shown on demand. The overview also displays more of each remark, making it easier to review information without opening individual entries.
  • Wage Scale settings now allow split wage values to be copied automatically from previous entries, reducing manual effort when maintaining wage scales.
  • Rank-specific contract settings are now applied automatically when creating assignments, reducing manual planning adjustments and helping ensure consistent contract dates.

CFM Employees

CFM Employees makes all staff information visible and accurate. Simply organise your staff within departments, define regular working days and hours, vacation entitlement, job description and contact details. Manage holidays, travels, and any other absence of your employees within a single view.

  • When an approved absence is changed retrospectively, its approval status is now reset automatically. Users can also subscribe to notifications informing them of these changes.

CFM Vessel Particulars

CFM Vessel Particulars lets you set up the foundation of your successful vessel management. Record and maintain a vast amount of specific data for every vessel and let your departments benefit from data such as dimensions, capacities, propulsion, consumptions, or delivery information for a smooth acceleration of their individual businesses.

  • Vessel Particulars now support Panama gross and net tonnage, with the new values also available in exports, reports and the public API.
  • Vessel Details PDF exports now include the vessel's year built and flag state, providing a more complete vessel overview.

CFM Purchase

CFM Purchase provides you with all sections of the purchasing process at one point in an intelligently structured manner, gives you full control over your budgets and allows your suppliers to work directly with this information. Thanks to an intuitive dashboard that features the most relevant information and upcoming tasks, CFM Purchase always focuses on what is important and streamlines the complete purchasing workflow.

  • Warehouse deliveries now support partial delivery confirmations. Users can confirm delivered quantities per item while reordering, repackaging or rejecting outstanding quantities within the same workflow.
  • Purchase requisitions can now retrieve spare part information directly from PMS components, automatically populating key item details and reducing manual entry.
  • A new setting allows organisations to decide whether Purchase Orders and Invoices affect budgets when they are created, approved or confirmed, providing greater flexibility to match internal purchasing workflows.
  • Purchase activity logs now display detailed change histories across requisitions, allowing users to review previous and updated values without manually comparing records.
  • Purchase items now support Country of Origin information across catalogues, requisitions and quotations, helping organisations capture customs information directly within purchasing documents.

CFM Risk Assessment

CFM Risk Assessment enables you to organise your risk assessment digitally and minimise manual effort. Determine probabilities and implications of unwanted incidents and allocate danger levels to every thinkable situation on board. Be on the safe side concerning insurances. With our modular design, you can create and assess any number of operations.

  • Risk Assessment now clearly separates initial and residual probability when editing hazards, making risk evaluations easier to review and update.

CFM Certificates ensures that you all your necessary certificates are up to date and this way, that your vessels are seaworthy. It provides you with various options for the setup of certificate types, such as pre-warning periods, categorization on the revalidation (on expiry, annual or intermediate surveys), the definition of port- or flag-state requirements, or the assignment of responsibilities.

  • When managing certificates on board, Office Remarks are now displayed separately as read-only while the editable field is clearly labelled as Vessel Remark, making it easier to distinguish between office and vessel documentation.

CFM Emergencies

CFM Emergencies lets you define different categories of emergencies and their corresponding tasks as well as to define if they are mandatory or not - all in line with both SOLAS and MARPOL. The respective locations onboard where the task needs to be carried out can be defined as well. Making sure that your crew is immediately aware of what to do and where to go.

  • Emergency duties can now be assigned to vessel ranks, allowing the system to allocate responsibilities automatically to the appropriate seafarers while still supporting manual overrides when required.

CFM Inventory

CFM Inventory allows you to keep track of all equipment, materials or supplies in stock on individual vessels. To enhance clarity, you can easily define various storage locations on board your vessels and categorise your stock, either by using pre-defined categories from settings or by simply specifying your own on the fly.

  • Purchase requisitions can now be created directly from the Inventory Shortage Dashboard, allowing stock shortages to be converted into purchasing actions without re-entering item information.
  • Users can now subscribe to inventory notifications for shortage, minimum, overstocking and maximum stock levels, helping teams respond proactively without continuously monitoring inventory levels.

CFM Event Reporting

CFM Event Reporting lets you make the most of your data and gain real insights into the performance of your fleet by monitoring a wide variety of key figures. By monitoring reports about times of arrival and departure, the begin and end of sea passage (BOSP/EOSP), bunker consumptions, times of anchorage or lay-up as well as noon reports, CFM Event Reporting lets you see the big picture of your fleet – enabling you to conduct further analyses.

  • ShipClient Departure Reports now support Ballast Voyage reporting, automatically applying the appropriate cargo handling logic and carrying the setting through to the linked Arrival Report.

  • When using Maintenance on board, Disturbance Reports can now be created, edited and managed directly from the Component Editor. Dashboards also provide an overview of active disturbance reports with filtering options.
  • The Component page has been redesigned with a streamlined three-tab layout and filter pills, making maintenance information easier to navigate with fewer clicks.
  • The Overdue Distribution Report now includes an Overdue Status filter, making it easier to analyse open and completed overdue maintenance jobs separately.
