We are continuously upgrading Cloud Fleet Manager, adding new functionality, enhancements and improving the overall usability. With this article, we would like to give you a brief overview of some of the greater edits to the system. For a comprehensive overview of all changes, you can visit the "What's New" report in Cloud Fleet Manager at any time to see what exactly happened in each of our modules.

New features and enhancements

CFM Crewing

CFM Crewing is your one-stop solution to handle all crew-related tasks centrally and in an intuitive way. From master data management of seafarers, planning the crews on board as well as their relief, the management of working and rest hours of the crew up to managing payrolls, everything can be done in one single solution.

  • A new permission allows organisations to control whether assignment contracts can be exported while wages remain unconfirmed, providing greater control over contract generation.
  • A new global setting allows organisations to configure the grace period before and after embarkation and disembarkation when grouping assignments into crew changes. This provides greater flexibility over how crew change containers are created, allowing organisations to better reflect their operational workflows.
  • Dashboard improvements provide greater visibility of operational tasks. Non-assignment travel expenses are now displayed in a dedicated section for easier review, while pending crew changes remain visible until completed to help ensure no outstanding actions are missed.
  • Bulk crew changes can now be performed, allowing users to sign on and sign off all seafarers within a crew change at once, significantly reducing repetitive manual work.
  • The Illness Report has been enhanced with additional filter options and sickness-related information, providing more detailed reporting and easier analysis.
  • Seafarer assignments now include a mandatory Manning Agency selection, showing only agencies users have access to while automatically preselecting the seafarer's assigned agency.
  • When the cut-off feature is enabled, payroll data is no longer generated for assignments or permanent contracts starting after the configured cut-off date.

CFM Incidents

CFM Incidents enables you to seamlessly document any incidents or near-misses that occurred onboard your vessels. After an event has been documented, corrective or preventive actions can be defined as well and are then automatically synchronised with the office.

  • Recent Comments on the Incidents dashboard now display the rank of the seafarer who posted the comment when using their onboard CSM login, providing additional context during follow-up.

CFM Maintenance

CFM Maintenance allows you to plan your maintenance work centrally, precisely and according to your requirements. It gives you full visibility of your fleet status and lets you regain control over the maintenance jobs of your fleet.

  • The workflow for unconfirmed rescheduled jobs has been enhanced. In addition to approving or declining proposed rescheduling dates, users can now assign a new due date directly, providing greater flexibility when coordinating maintenance schedules.
