CFM Updates - January 2024

This month we added 15 new features and 38 enhancements to CFM. We present our highlights of January.

CFM Updates january 2024

We are continuously upgrading Cloud Fleet Manager, adding new functionality, enhancements and improving the overall usability. With this article, we would like to give you a brief overview of some of the greater edits to the system. For a comprehensive overview of all changes, you can visit the "What's New" report in Cloud Fleet Manager at any time to see what exactly happened in each of our modules.

New features and enhancements

CFM Cashbox & Bonded Store

CFM Cashbox & Bonded Store makes it much easier to handle cash on board. Just set up your default currency cashboxes ashore and synchronise to your fleet. For a smooth transition from paper to digital work, your crew only needs to register the initial balance and is immediately ready. Cashbox allows you to keep track of all cashbox transactions and raise a cash to master request when new money is needed. Bonded Stores seamlessly integrates with Cashbox and assists you to register all transactions in your on-board shop.

  • The vessel balance of bonded store transactions is now available.

CFM Crew Portal

CFM Crew Portal enables simpler and more transparent management of all crewing processes while reducing administrative effort. It enables your seafarers to autonomously view and manage their personal data such as certificates and to access company news and shared data.

  • ShipMoney E-Wallet accounts can now be added to seafarers' payment accounts.
  • Seafarers can now specify the entry type when creating or updating visa records.

CFM Crewing

CFM Crewing is your one-stop solution to handle all crew-related tasks centrally and in an intuitive way. From master data management of seafarers, planning the crews on board as well as their relief, the management of working and rest hours of the crew up to managing payrolls, everything can be done in one single solution.

  • A new public API is available for retrieving company payment account information.
  • Warning periods can now be configured individually for certificate types.
  • ShipMoney E-Wallet support has been expanded throughout CFM Crewing. E-Wallets can now be added to seafarers' payment accounts, while additional ShipMoney information is available throughout relevant payroll views.
  • The Records for Deletion Report can now be exported as a Microsoft Excel file.
  • Navigation within CFM Crewing now returns users to the last visited subsection when moving back and forth between pages.
  • Public holidays can now be configured for CBAs by nationality and flag state.
  • Entry Type is now a mandatory field for visa records.
  • Leave balances are now displayed within the seafarer sidebar throughout relevant views.

CFM Disturbance Report

CFM Disturbance Report lets your crew easily create detailed, standardised service requests that can be directly assigned to the person responsible and which will then appear automatically within their dashboard. You can follow-up all service requests in a Kanban view, which gives you a full transparency an all pending requests and their individual status.

  • Requisition handling has been enhanced throughout Disturbance Report. Users can now search for requisition numbers, select requisitions regardless of status when linking disturbance reports, and continue editing requisition items while the requisition remains in Created status.

CFM Event Reporting

CFM Event Reporting lets you make the most of your data and gain real insights into the performance of your fleet by monitoring a wide variety of key figures. By monitoring reports about times of arrival and departure, the begin and end of sea passage (BOSP/EOSP), bunker consumptions, times of anchorage or lay-up as well as noon reports, CFM Event Reporting lets you see the big picture of your fleet – enabling you to conduct further analyses.

  • Latitude and longitude are now available and mandatory for relevant report types.

CFM MRV & IMO DCS

CFM MRV & IMO DCS enables you to easily record and analyse all key figures required to achieve compliance with both the EU MRV and IMO DCS regulations. The required data can be entered directly on board, all further calculations are carried out automatically in the system, you only have to forward the results.

  • The MRV Summary and MRV By Vessel reports now include dedicated columns for N2O and CH4 emissions.
  • IMO DCS exports now reflect deadweight carried information based on voyage reporting data.

CFM Maintenance

CFM Maintenance allows you to plan your maintenance work centrally, precisely and according to your requirements. It gives you full visibility of your fleet status and lets you regain control over the maintenance jobs of your fleet.

  • Component conditions can now be recorded when completing maintenance jobs.
  • Maintenance jobs can now be filtered by job type.
  • Single and recurring maintenance jobs can now be designated as port-based jobs.

CFM Purchase

CFM Purchase provides you with all sections of the purchasing process at one point in an intelligently structured manner, gives you full control over your budgets and allows your suppliers to work directly with this information. Thanks to an intuitive dashboard that features the most relevant information and upcoming tasks, CFM Purchase always focuses on what is important and streamlines the complete purchasing workflow.

  • Several new merge fields have been added across purchase templates, including support for requisition titles and delivery address information.
  • Selected catalog item attributes, including manufacturer and HS code information, can now be updated in bulk.
  • The full target folder path is now displayed when moving catalog items.

CFM World Map

World Map visualises the fleet including schedules and relevant ship data in a comprehensible way. The positions of companies, ships and harbors can be easily faded in and out. This way you design the level of detail at your convenience.

  • Vessel positions can now be imported from the MarineTraffic API.
